JAMMU, Mar 1: The J&K Administrative Service Officers Association (KAS) has expressed gratitude to Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, Chief Secretary, Iqbal Khandey and Secretary GAD for issuing orders of promotion in respect of KAS Officers to the Special Scale of KAS Cadre.
The Association has appreciated the efforts of the authorities in fulfilling the long pending demand of the Association regarding streamlining of KAS Cadre and promotion of KAS officers and issuance of seniority of 2001 batch which was pending from last many years.
It also expressed hope that this initiative will boost the morale of the KAS fraternity and will motivate the officers to work with more zeal and dedication for the betterment of the people of the State.
The Association has also demanded that the pending promotions at different levels against available vacancies may be done in a time bound manner alongwith the cadre review which is overdue now.
The Association has appealed the Chief Minister and Chief Secretary to post two KAS officers from Super Time Scale as Administrative Secretaries and one remaining post as Secretary in the Department as provided in the Rules and hoped that the orders in this regard will be issued without any delay.
