JAMMU, Feb 7: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Councillor, Satpaul Karlupia here today started lane-drain work at Pragati Lane area of Ward number 32.
Speaking on the occasion, Karlupia said that the lane-drain work in the area was a long pending demand of locals of the area as they were facing problems due to the poor condition of lanes and drains there.
He also said that the work will be completed at an expenditure of Rs. 35 lakh and assured that remaining works of the Ward shall also be started and completed soon.
The Councillor sought cooperation from resident of his Ward to make the Ward a model one with all basic amenities.
He said that street lights have been installed in almost entire of the Ward as per demands of the locals.
Karlupia directed the concerned Engineers as well as the contractor to complete the work, which was started today, by applying best construction materials and get it completed within stipulated time.
Lovekesh Gondi, BJP J&K executive member IT Department; booth president, Rahul Mehra; Ward president, Satish Salaria; Anil Rakwal, Bawa Ram, Reena, Ashok Singh and others were also present on the occasion.
