Kargil gets 4 new ECs

JAMMU, Sept 25: Newly elected Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Kargil Chairman/CEC Kacho Ahmad Ali Khan today appointed his four Executive Councilors, who included three Independent Councilors and one belonging to Congress.
Mohammad Amir, Independent Councilor from Khangral has been given the charge of Education, Revenue, PDD, Forest and ITI while Aga Syed Hassan Arman, an Independent Councilor from Saliskot would hold charge of Rural Development, Handlooms, Handicrafts, Animal and Sheep Husbandry.
Independent Councilor from Lankaschay Mohammad Hussain will hold the charge of Health, Agriculture, Horticulture and Cooperatives Department while Stanzin Sonam, Congress Councilor from Lungchak has been assigned the charges of CAPD, Social Welfare, Industries and Tourism.
All remaining departments will be held by the CEC, an order issued by Kacho, who is himself an Independent Councilor, said.
Kacho had been elected as Chairman with the support of Congress Councilors. Kacho was elected as an Independent Councilor in September 2013 elections but has now joined the PDP.
The Chairman/CEC enjoys status of Cabinet Minister while four Executive Councilors hold the rank of Deputy Ministers.
