JAMMU, June 6: Kalakaar Association advocated for relief in favour of the artists, especially who have crossed 50 years of age, in a press conference held here today.
While addressing media persons, President of the Association, Urja Singh said that artists were totally dependent on daily earnings and were worst-hit in prevailing atmosphere, so were in need of immediate relief from the authorities.

The members said that the administration should take immediate steps in this regard to help artists not to suffer anymore.
Prominent among other artists who interacted with media persons included Vijay Malla, Lalita Tapsvi, Harbans Choudhary, Veena Dogra, Chanchal Dogra, Neelam Malvi, Ajay Slathia, Neelam Gandotra, Seema Dogra, Vishal, Mohinder Soni, Deepak Kumar, Usha Slathia, Raju Vijay Puria, Sudesh Sultan Puri, Deepak Dutta, Kuldeep Kumar, Dhananjya, Muskan, Vishali, Goutam, Rahul, Akhil and Sheetal Singh.
