JAMMU, Apr 26: Chairman and Chief Executive Councilor (CEC), LAHDC, Kargil Ahmad Ali Khan Kacho in the presence of Minister of State for School Education, Science and Information Technology, Feroz Ahmed Khan, today inaugurated Kargil Boys Hostel at Channi Rama, Jammu.
On the occasion, former Minister and MLA, Kargil Qamar Ali Akhoon was also present.
Mr. Feroz said that the hostel facility would greatly help the students of Kargil pursuing their studies in Jammu and stressed on them to protect this vital asset which is going to help many generation of students in coming times. He also gave patient hearing to other demands raised by the students on the occasion.
Minister also apprised that Rs 6. 60 cr has been expended on the hostel building out of the Rs 7.84 cr released for the purpose. The construction of hostel building started in 2009 by PWD has a capacity to house 200 students.
Mr Kacho stressed on the students to put in their best efforts to achieve success in their life. He hoped that the students provided accommodation in the hostel would crack prestigious exams like IAS and KAS and bring laurels to the State and home district.
Executive Councilor, Kargil G. R. Nagvi also spoke on the occasion.
