JYBT organizes vedic pathshala at Shree Panchmukhi Hanuman Mandir

JAMMU, Aug 11: The Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust (JYBT), under the leadership of its president Pawan Kumar Shastri today organised the sixth weekly session of the Sanskrit Gyan-Yagy Pathshala at Shree Panchmukhi Hanuman Mandir, B.C. Road, Jammu.
The programme was graced by Brij Lal Bhat as the chief guest.
Around 60 students, mostly under the age of 15, participated enthusiastically, learning and reciting Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, Hanuman Chalisa, Sunderkand Path and Dharma-Karma teachings.
During a sharing session, the students impressively recited verses in Sanskrit and then skillfully translated them into both English and Hindi.
Their ability to recite and translate Shrimad Bhagvad Gita and Shree Hanuman Chalisa was particularly noteworthy, earning appreciation from all presence.
Pawan Kumar Shastri a renowned religious and social figure of the province has been instrumental in initiating Vedic Classes in the division.
Speaking on the occasion, Pawan Kumar Shastri said that the initiative aims to connect the younger generation with the rich heritage of Sanatan Dharma by imparting knowledge of ancient scriptures like the Bhagavad Gita, Ramayana, Vedas and Upanishads.
“Such efforts help preserve cultural traditions and instill spiritual values in young minds.
“The Trust aims to continue these classes to enlighten the younger generation about Sanatan Dharma’s rich heritage by imparting knowledge of ancient’s scriptures like Shree Bhagavad Gita, Hanuman Chalisa, Ramayana, and Veda and Upanishad,” said Dr Arun Shastri and Dr Ajay Shastri, Sanskrit scholars.
The Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust, renowned for its philanthropic work, provides free langar seva to hundreds of devotees daily in both Jammu and Haridwar, along with maintaining well-equipped accommodation facilities for pilgrims.
The event was attended by dignitaries including Gurdas Sharma, general secretary of the Trust, Sukhdev Sharma and Rashpal Sharma, incharge B C Road Mandir Complex.
The Trust extended its gratitude to all devotees for their participation in making the programme a success.
