JAMMU, Oct 27: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) president Sunil Dimple has urged the Chief Minister demanding issuance of orders for construction of flyovers at Rehari Chungi, Jewel Chowk and other traffic congested places.
Dimple led a protest rally on the Janipur High Court road against the worsening traffic problem in the city and demanded construction of the flyover at traffic congested places. He expressed concern over alarming rate of accidents in the city and the far flung rural areas of the Jammu region.
Addressing the protesters, Dimple said that he has sent memorandum to the Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti for implementation for construction of flyovers at traffic congested places. He threatened to start the Jan-Andolan from November 10 against the worst traffic problems of the Jammu city as the coalition Government has failed in this regard.
He alleged that the traffic scenario in the Jammu is worsening but the State Government has no traffic mobility plan for the winter capital city.
Dimple reiterated his demand for construction of the alternate circular road from Amphalla -Manda to Janipur-Bantalab. He said, similarly circular road from Jewal Chowk to Bhagwati Nagar to Talab Tillo should be constructed. He also demanded the widening of the Canal- Akhnoor road.
Dimple demanded to hold the CBI or Vigilance inquiry into funds allotted to ERA, NBCC sewerage works, PWD R&B for black toppings in the West Assembly constituency.
On the occasion, large number of traders, residents joined the protest rally.
