JWAM terms meeting over traffic problem as eye wash

JAMMU, Nov 17: The Jammu West Assembly Movement has expressed disappointment over the non-fertile results in the Government high level traffic meet and termed it as an eye wash.
Sunil Dimple, president, Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) has expressed dissatisfaction on the Government high level meeting held for the “Traffic problem and termed it as an eye wash and a joke”, with the people who are badly suffering due to the traffic jammings.
He said the high level meeting convened by the Government was a futile exercise as the same was held without any agenda and no constructive steps were discussed or decisions made to cope up with the menace of traffic jams. He added that no resolutions were passed in the meeting to put forth the same before the Cabinet, regarding construction of fly-overs, circular roads around Jammu and parking spots.
Dimple said that the CM and the Deputy Chief Minister should discuss the traffic problems in the Cabinet meeting on November 19, 2015 and issue the directives to the concerned agencies to construct the flyovers at Rehari Chungi and Jewel Chowk.
Dimple also demanded for construction of alternative four way circular road from Amphalla Manda to High Court and other areas to reduce congestion also demanded for the widening of the Jewel canal to Purkhu- Akhnoor road.
