JAMMU, Jan 2: Activists of Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) here today took out a protest rally demanding construction of Ring Road and starting Metro Train from Amphalla-Manda to Akhnoor via Janipur High Court road.
Speaking on the occasion, JWAM President, Sunil Dimple said the agitation will be intensified if the demands were not conceded soon.
A handout of the JWAM claimed that large number of locals, traders of Amphalla, New Plot, Janipur, Roop Nagar and Bantalab joined the protest rally from New Plot to Amphalla against the government proposal for widening Amphalla-Janipur High Court road up to Bantalab by 20 foot on both sides.
Prominent among those who were present in the rally were S. Tarlok Singh, Ramesh Mahjan, Parveen Mahjan, Dalep Kumar, Mohinder Lichi, Ricky Bhasin, Kala Singh, Rajinder Bhargav, Ashwani Nayar and others.
