JAMMU, July 6: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) today held a protest today against Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and the Government headed by her for releasing the stone pelters and Pakistan citizens from jails.
Led by their president, Sunil Dimple, a score of JWAM activists today came out on Janipur-New Plot road with banners displaying slogans ‘crush Pakistan, crush militancy, restore peace in the State’ and raised slogans against PDP-BJP coalition Government of the State as well CM Mehbooba Mufti for giving amnesty to stone pelters and Pakistani citizens lodged in different jails of the State.
Dimple asked the Chief Minister who will be responsible if the released stone pelters created the law and order problem in future like Masarat Alam and his associates who just coming out of the jail unfurled the Pakstani flags and chanted pro-Pak slogans.
He further said that due to wrong doings of the late Chief Minister Mufti Mohd Sayeed, during the first inning of BJP-PDP Government the militancy escalated in the State.
Dimple said earlier also stone pelters were released under the amenity scheme. “If somebody tell me how much their release helped in the restoration of peace and normalcy in Kashmir valley”, he said and added that their release only escalated law and order problems in the State particularly in Kashmir valley where more ISIS and Pak flags were seen unfurled, anti-India seminars were held and pro-freedom rallies were taken out.
He also lashed on BJP for its double standards. “On one hand BJP legislatures demanded in the State Assembly that terrorists’ camps in PoK be bombarded and on the other hand they are maintaining criminal silence over release of stone pelters, who are working on pay role of Pakistan to destabilize peace in J&K”, Dimple said.
