JAMMU, Oct 21: The activists of Jammu West Assembly Movement JWAM) burnt effigies of the State CAPD and Union Food Ministries in protest against non-availability of Government ration at depots for the last three months.
Sunil Dimple, president JWAM, led the protest against non-availibility of ration card and kerosene oil for the economically weaker sections of the State, particularly in the Jammu region.
He alleged that the CAPD department has badly failed to cater the needs of the consumers and also badly failed to control and check the rising prices.
Dimple demanded a check on the rising prices and constitution of flying squads to raid the dumping house of the hoarders, black marketeers and implementation of Food Security Bill, besides exemption of Sale Tax on domestic LPG, petrol and diesel to relieve the common man of the State.
