JWAM protests against imposition of ‘unnecessary taxes’ in J&K

JAMMU, Oct 19: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) activists here today staged a protest demonstration under the leadership of their president, Sunil Dimple and expressed resentment against the imposition of unnecessary taxes in J&K.
Addressing protesters Dimple said that unnecessary taxes like property tax, toll tax and heavy fines under MV Act have disturbed the normal life of J&K people.
He claimed that after reorganisation of J&K into UT the BJP has left the people here to face hardships wherein transporters, traders and hoteliers are on the verge of starvation.
JWAM leader demanded restoration of statehood with special status to J&K and withdrawal of the domicile certificates.
He also said that JWAM will start mass agitation against the imposition of unnecessary taxes in J&K.
Dimple asked the Municipal Councillors, Sarpanches and Panches to oppose imposition of unnecessary taxes in J&K.
Harbans Tondon, Piyarey Lal, Dev Raj, Kala Kumar, Sandeep Sharma, Sunny Agrawal, Sonu, Kalyan Singh, Arjun, Anmol, Ram Kapoor, Vijay Khajuria and others were also present in the protest.
