JAMMU, Dec 14: President, Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) Sunil Dimple met Shantmanu, Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), J&K and discussed the demands related to the forthcoming Urban Local Bodies (ULB) and Municipal elections in the State.
While speaking, Dimple asked CEO to issue notification and election schedule of the Municipal elections. He also asked Shantmanu to use EVMs in the elections.
All the wards should have open category and no ward should be made reserved for anyone, he said and demanded tight security arrangements to hold the free and fare elections.
He also demanded rotation and fresh delimitation of all the wards.
Shantmanu gave patient hearing to the issues highlighted by JWAM president and assured him to take up all the issues with the Government.
