JAMMU, July 16: The residents of Jammu West constituency held a protest demonstration against PWD, ERA and PHE at New Plot, today.
President Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) Sunil Dimple led the protest demonstration in which prominent citizens, affected traders and common people raised slogans against the PWD R&B, ERA, PHE and JMC for the swindling of the Rs 132 corers funds by the PWD, R&B, ERA, which has gone waste and the construction of flyovers and widening of the BC Road Rehari Chungi kept in cold storage by this present Government.
JMC Commissioner Kiran Wattal and the Additional District Development Commissioner Law and Order Kalyan Singh Parihar rushed to the spot and Sunil Dimple handed over a memorandum for State Government through them demanding CBI inquiry into ERA’s sewerage works scandal.
Dimple alleged that Government has totally failed and there was no development taking place in the winter capital Jammu city, particularly in the West Assembly constituency and the rising traffic problems in the Jammu city was, adding to the problems of the people. He demanded immediate black topping of the roads of the entire Jammu city.
Sunil Dimple gave one week ultimatum to Government to do the needful otherwise JWAM would intensify the agitation. He said ERA has defaced the whole West Assembly constituency and Jammu city, causing hardship to the people by damaging all link and main roads causing fatal pollution diseases, destroying the goods of the shopkeepers, defacing showrooms and heavy loss to the public property worth hundred crores  of rupees.
Sunil Dimple demanded the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to hold the inquiry in the ongoing work of the ERA wherein public money is being lavishly wasted.
