JWAM demands enquiry into funds allocated to Sports Council

JAMMU, Jan 16: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) held protest against no policy for the unemployed youth viz no construction of new stadiums and playgrounds in the Jammu region.
The activists of JWAM led by its President Sunil Dimple Assembled near Arorian Di Chapri and raised slogans against the Government.
While speaking, Dimple said both the central and the State Government discriminated with the youths of Jammu region in the field of sports and employment sectors.
He said that in Jammu region particularly Jammu district, no playgrounds and stadiums have been developed by the Sports Council for the youth, so that they can compete with national and international players.
He said in Kashmir valley, all funds have been given and spent for the promotion of sports by constructing stadiums, play grounds, etc.
He asked the Governor Satya Pal Malik to conduct CBI enquiry into the funds allocated to the J&K State Sports Council for raising the sports standard in Jammu and Kashmir especially Jammu region.
Among others present were Harbans Tondon, Chaman Pawar, Dr ON Pandita, Vijay Khajuria, Dev Raj, Tarlok Singh, Ashok Khana, Mukesh Mahajan, Vipen Mahajan, Satpal Kohli and Kala Kumar.
