JAMMU, Feb 17: The activists of Jammu West Assembly Movement held protest demonstration and raised slogans against the increasing number of accidents on Amphalla- New Plot- Janipur road. They also raised slogans against PWD, R&B and the Traffic Department.
Sunil Dimple, president, Jammu West Assembly Movement along with the residents of area including business community staged protest march against the traffic jams and poor performance of the traffic monitoring agencies and PWD R&B, ERA, JMC for their failure in solving the traffic problem the West constituency.
Dimple demanded for starting Metro Rail, Mono Rail and construction of circular roads to solve the traffic problem faced by the people of Jammu City. He also demanded expanding of network of flyovers and circular ring roads.
He suggested to start the Dehli type even odd vehicle numbers formula of the vehicles to ease the traffic problem of the Jammu city and Kashmir.
