JAMMU, Dec 21: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) today condemned the BJP led Government at the Centre for its statement that there is no proposal regarding abolition of Article 35A and Article 370 in respect of Jammu and Kashmir, and asked the BJP to clear its stand on the issue.
Addressing a press conference here today, Sunil Dimple, JWAM president, said that the statement made by Union Minister of State for Home Hansraj Ahir in reply to a question in Rajya Sabha, is insult to the sacrifices of the BJP leader Shama Parshad Mukherji, who sacrificed his life for the abolishment of the Article 35A and Article 370.
Dimple said the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is answerable to the people of J&K, as the BJP had been misleading the people of the country and the State over abolition of the Article 35A and Article 370 since independence of the Country.
He asked PM Modi and the BJP to clear their stand on this vital issue, stating that people of Jammu had elected 25 MLAs and 3 MPs of BJP only on the promise of abolition of Article 35A and Article 370.
