Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, June 28: The activists of Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) held demonstration demanding regular water supply in their area.
Addressing protesters, JWAM president Sunil Dimple alleged that water has not been supplied in their area for the last many days and urged the Government to start the work on the Chenab water supply from Akhnoor to meet the requirement of Jammu people.
He alleged that the BJP-PDP Government has distrusted the people of Jammu and have started selling the drinking water to the people by installing the meters on the drinking water connections.
He warned to launch strong agitation if the PHE Department did not stop installing water meters on connections and restore the water supplies in Jammu West constituency.
