JWAM activists hold protest

JAMMU, June 10:  The activists of Jammu West Assembly Movement held protest against the Union and State PDD and PHE Department for the scheduled and unscheduled power cuts and acute shortage of water.
Addressing the protesters, Sunil Dimple, JWAM president, alleged that people of Jammu city are facing power cuts of 10 to 12 hours regularly. He raised the issue regarding refusal of Central Government to return power projects to J&K State. He also alleged acute scarcity of the drinking water in the Jammu city and West Assembly constituency.
He demanded construction of the “Chenab Drinking Water Project” at Akhnoor and free of cost drinking water to the people of the State.
He alleged BJP Central Government has also refused to increase the power share to the State from 12% to 25 % as per the agenda of BJP-PDP alliance.
