Justice Yaqoob Mir accorded farewell

SRINAGAR, May 18: Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir was given full court farewell reference by the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir at Srinagar upon his elevation as Chief Justice of High Court of Meghalaya.
Justice Alok Aradhe, Acting Chief Justice High Court of J&K, Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey, Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur, Justice Tashi Rabstan, Justice Janak Raj Kotwal, Justice Sanjeev Kumar and Justice MK Hanjura were also present on the occasion.
Justice Bashir Ahmad Kirmani, Member J&K State Accountability Commission, Chief Secretary B.B Vyas, Special DG VK Singh, Principal Secretary Home R K Goyal, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Rohit Kansil, Secretary Department of Law Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Abdul Majid Bhat, Senior Additional Advocate General Bashir Ahmad Dar,  Assistant Solicitor General, Registrar General and Officers of the High Court Registry, Principal District and Sessions Judge, Srinagar, Director J&K State Judicial Academy, Judicial Officers posted at  headquarter Srinagar, staff members including officers of High Court of J&K were also present on the occasion.
Senior Additional Advocate General Bashir Ahmad Dar, in his farewell address lauded the role of Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir, for his dedication and commitment both on judicial and administrative side.
Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir in his farewell address thanked one and all including Judges of High Court of J&K, officers of the Registry and Judicial Officers of the State for their undaunted commitment towards judicial and administrative work and the support extended to him during his tenure.
He said that no Judge can dispense real justice without the cooperation from the Bar and the J&K High Court is full of young and energetic lawyers. He said that he is overwhelmed by the warmth and affection shown to him by one and all.
