Justice Virender reaches out flood victims

JAMMU, Oct 2: Executive Chairman State Legal Services Authority, Justice Virender Singh reached out flood victims at Sunderbani and Dandesar to take stock of facilities being provided to them by the Rajouri district administration.
The flood affected people apprised him about problems being faced by them and Justice Virender Singh told them to approach the Care and Support Centers temporarily opened for affected people by SLSA.
“These centres will ensure immediate help by Government and non Government agencies to the victims”, Justice Singh said, adding “the para legal  volunteers have already been directed to forward grievances of the flood affected victims to the respective Chairman  Tehsil Legal Services Committee,  who have been asked to coordinate with the district administration for redressal of grievances of flood affected people”.
The Core Group headed by Mehmood Ahmed Choudhary, CJM Rajouri as well as member Muzaffar Iqbal Khan, Mobile Magistrate Rajouri were also directed to ensure immediate relief to the victims.
The Executive  Chairman SLSA  along with District Development Commissioner Jitender Kumar Singh also distributed relief material in the form of family kits, blankets, terpals, food items and sweaters  to the flood affected victims.
DDC Rajouri assured full cooperation to SLSA and said such initiatives will help administration in reaching out the needy.
