UDHAMPUR, Feb 23: Executive Chairman of State Legal Services Authority J&K and Administrative Judge for Udhampur District, Justice Rajesh Bindal today inaugurated front office of District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) at Udhampur Court Complex.
Member Secretary SLSA, Mohmmad Akram Choudhary, Chairman District Legal Services Authority Udhampur Principal District & Session Judge Sanjay Parihar , Additional Session Judge C L Bavoria , Sub Judge CJM B L Jaswal , Secretary DLSA Sandeep Kour, Sub Judge Special Mobile Magistrate Ramesh Kumar, Munsiff Additional Mobile Magistrate Traffic Anjana Rajput , District Mobile Magistrate Traffic Ajay Kumar, Munsiff Junaid Imtyaz Mir, Senior Superintendent of Police Rajiv Panday, Additional SP Rajinder Katoch, Dy SP Dr Himat Singh, DDC Ashok Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner Gurvinder Jeet Singh, Bar president J D Slathia and Bar members were present on the occasion .
The front office was inaugurated by Justice Bindal for providing of free legal aid and legal aid services to litigants and all those eligible for legal aid. Chairman DLSA apprised the Executive Chairman that the front office will remain open on all working days, where a retainer lawyer and paralegal volunteer would remain available for providing legal advice and to disseminate information about various schemes. Justice Bindal thereafter inspected all courts at the Head quarter and interacted with Judicial Officers and laid impress on speedy disposal of case besides ensure all litigants are provided healthy atmosphere. The awarded amounts in cases shall directly be transferred to the beneficiaries’ account online.
Justice Bindal interacted with the Bar members and gave patient hearing to their demand put forth by the Bar members. In his interaction with the Bar, he exhorted the Bar members to take maximum benefit by adopting various modes of settlement of cases and recourse to ADR. More so to mediation and expressed desire that the nominated mediators would render helping hand for settlement of case by mediation.
Justice Bindal also inspected the court building and site where the ADR center is proposed to be constructed and also gave onspot instruction to Xen PWD, ADDC and Additional DC Udhampur.
