Justice G D Sharma appointed non-official member of NFCH

JAMMU, Apr 7: Union Ministry of Home Affairs has appointed Justice (Retd) G D Sharma as one of the non-official member, of the reconstituted Governing Council of National Foundation for Communal Harmony (NFCH).
Union Home Minister is the Chairman of the Governing Council of NFCH while as Ministers for HRD, Social Justice and Empowerment and Information and Broadcasting are its members.
The NFCH principally provides assistance for the rehabilitation of child victims of different kinds of sociental violence, promotes communal harmony and national integration either independently or through State Governments or NGOs. It also confers awards on individuals and organizations for their outstanding contribution towards fostering communal harmony and strengthening national integration.
The Foundation is actively networking and partnering with concerned State Governments, different ministries and departments and educational institutions to effectively implement its schemes.
