JUNTEU office bearers call on VC; discuss demands

JAMMU, May 16: Jammu University Non-Teaching Employees Union (JUNTEU) led by its president Sunil Sahi, called on Prof Mohan Paul Singh Ishar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu, and discussed various demands of the non-teaching employees.
The president of the union Sunil Sahi introduced his newly elected team to Prof Ishar in presence of Prof Naresh Padha, Registrar.
While speaking, Prof Ishar congratulated the new office bearers and assured redressal of their demands in a phased manner.
In his response, the president on behalf of the newly elected officials promised to partner with the University management to see that University is taken to greater heights. The members of the Union also had the opportunity to express their concerns.
It is pertinent to mention here that Sunil Sahi led penal made a clean sweep in the general elections of the association held at Brigadier Rajinder Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu on May 11.
Among others present were Ramesh Gupta, Deputy Registrar, Ravi Gupta, vice president, Manoj Chauhan, general secretary, Ashwani Bakshi, joint secretary, Parvesh Ratta, organising secretary, Abhinav Sharma, treasurer and members including Anil Kumar Dubey, Vikram Thakyal, Anuradha Sharma, Shubh Lata Gupta, Anil Puri and Ram Pal Sharma.
