JAMMU, Feb 4: The Junior Wing of Carmel Convent High School celebrated its Annual Day through a colorful display of variety entertainment, today. The day bore special significance to the tiny-tots of the School as they took the centre-stage to enthrall the audience and parents on the theme “Education for Peace through Forgiveness”.
The little children left no stone unturned to exhibit the theme powerfully through their well-orchestrated and melodious performances that left everyone spell-bound. Rhythmic dances choreographed by Nitin, Ajay Raina and Esha Sharma, the dance teacher of the school included rope dance, aerobics, action songs and Rajasthani folk dances besides the beautiful play titled “The King & the Three Daughters”
The day’s proceedings began with invocation to the Almighty through a soulful prayer dance by the students, which was preceded by lighting of the traditional lamp by the dignitaries.
Ruth Robin Gill, Associate Professor (English)at Govt. Gandhi Memorial College Jammu, presided over the function as the chief guest. She in her speech applauded flawless display of talents by the tiny-tots.
She lauded the efforts made of the management and staff and congratulated the students for the display of confidence and well performed programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Sr. Maria Swati, Principal reiterated school’s focus on holistic education at the early stages to develop children’s physical as well as cognitive skills.
Priyal Rajput, Yashvi Mandla, Diksha Choudhary, Vedika Jamwal, Madeeha Ashraf, Srijan Kour and Arshpreet Kour kept the audience engaged with their dexterous anchoring throughout the event.
The colorful programme concluded with vote of thanks presented by Priya Darshanee Gupta.
