Julia Roberts cuts USD 8 Million from Hawaiian home sale

LOS ANGELES, Feb 18:  Oscar-winning actress Julia Roberts has slashed USD 8 million off the asking price of her beachfront Hawaii home after struggling to offload the property.
The “Pretty Woman” star, 48, and her husband, Danny Moder, scored a bargain when they purchased the historic seven-bedroom Faye Estate in the exclusive Hanalei Bay area of Kauai for USD 14 million (£9.8 million), well below market value, in 2011.
Last April, they attempted to cash in by placing it on the market for USD 30 million.
The house, which boasts mountain and sea views, failed to sell, despite an initial price reduction, and now the couple has lowered the cost once more to just under USD 22 million.
Julia and Danny, who primarily split their time between their residences in Malibu, California and a ranch in New Mexico, are currently renting out the pad for USD 1,500, until they are able to find a suitable buyer. (PTI)
