JAMMU, Mar 16: Giving its students an international experience through Foreign Students’ Exchange programme is one of the best practices of the Department of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT), Solan, Himachal Pradesh.
In this regard, the department offered UG/PG students a chance to conduct research at SD Mines in South Dakota, University of Missouri in Columbia, and University of Nebraska in Omaha, USA, for one semester.
Twenty students have taken advantage of this chance to study at these three US universities in recent past.
These students said that travelling abroad had given them a more educated perspective on scientific issues, Cultures, and work ethics.
Students with international experience have better employment opportunities and are more likely to receive scholarships for further education.
Students from Shimla, Solan, Dehradun, Jodhpur, Mumbai, Jammu, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Gorakhpur and other parts of India have taken advantage of this program.
