JAMMU, July 18: Jugal Kishore Sharma, Member of Parliament, Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha Constituency, today raised the issue regarding payment of compensation of agricultural land beyond the fencing point belonging to border people on the first day of Monsoon Session in Lok Sabha.
Jugal Kishore, complimented Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh for fulfilling the demand of people of border areas. Jugal said that the land of people residing at the border areas starting from Samba-Kathua to Rajouri-Poonch has been taken under fencing point.
This was the only source of their livelihood for the border people. The land beyond the fencing point remains uncultivated with the result it changed into barren land and forest. Farmers living in the border areas are now leading difficult life with no other land to cultivate. Jugal urged Center Government that compensation should be paid to the farmers at the earliest for the land beyond the fencing point so that they can keep their body and soul together.
