JAMMU, Nov 16: BJP State president & MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, along with National Executive Member Shamsher Singh Manhas, State spokesperson Sunil Sethi (Adv.), JK Cell State convenor S.S. Bijral (Retd. IGP) addressed massive public gatherings in Surankote and Poonch to garner public support for the party candidates.
A large number of people also joined the party and they were welcomed into the party by these leaders.
Jugal Kishore Sharma, addressing the public at these places, said that Modi Wave that swept the nation has engulfed Jammu and Kashmir State with masses looking forward to revolutionary change in political and social scenario. He said the Government of BJP that is set to be formed shall stand by the promises that are being made and not merely befool the masses on false assurances. He expressed his firm faith that the way people of Jammu and Poonch Parliamentary Constituency voted and elected him as their representative, they would enmass vote and elect the BJP candidates to bolster the Party claim of 44+ in coming elections.
Shamsher Singh Manhas said that the incumbent Government of Congress and NC and also Congress and PDP in previous Assembly were responsible for unemployment, absence of industries and general infrastructure essential for a healthy society. He said that with BJP forming Government in the State the people are excitingly looking forward to skill development particularly of youth as promised by Narendra Modi for the nation shall be taken in hand when youth shall get employment in their local areas.
He exhorted people to ensure that they enmass come out for voting on election day.
Sunil Sethi said that the funds provided by Government of India were usurped by political leaders for luxurious life for themselves and their kith and kin letting the poor masses become more and more poor. Cautioning people, he expected people to reject coalition parties in the coming Assembly election by voting in favour of Bharatiya Janata Party .
S.S. Bijral said that he is amazed at the assertion of Congress, National Conference and PDP that they alone can guarantee development of rural districts when situation on ground testifies sheer neglect of these areas under their period of their governance. He said he finds situation worst than what he had seen decade back serving the areas as DIG Rajouri-Poonch.
