JAMMU, Apr 5: BJP contesting candidate and Member of Parliament Lok Sabha Jammu Poonch Parliamentary constituency Jugal Kishore Sharma conducted tour of Akhnoor Assembly constituency to intensify election campaign.
He was accompanied by MLA Akhnoor Rajeev Sharma, State Secretaries Suresh Ajay Magotra and Suraj Singh, Suresh Sharma, Ex VC Daljeet Singh, SC Morcha President Jagdish Bhagat, District president Manmohan Singh, Chairman Akhnoor Municipality Deepesh Singh Pawar, Jourian Municipal Chairman Madan Lal, Vice Chairman Sham Lal and many others.
Jugal Kishore Sharma received a rousing welcome by the public in large number at villages Jourian, Maira Mandrian, Nore Jagir, Gharattal, Sanhara, Ghosan, Kha, Dhara, Ardhan, Kathar, Gurha Jagir, Pallawa and other hinterlands of Akhnoor constituency.
While speaking, Jugal Kishore Sharma said that Congress in its election manifesto promised review of provisions of Armed Forces Special Power Act in Jammu and Kashmir, adding that Rahul Gandhi is only carrying forward the ‘historical blunder’ of Pt Jawaharlal Nehru in Jammu and Kashmir.
“Some of the important points of Congress manifesto have been drafted by Congress President’s friends”, he said, adding that some of the ideas reflect the thought process of ‘tukde tukde’ gang.
A large number of Sarpanches, Panches from Congress and other prominent persons joined Bharatiya Janata Party in presence of MP Jugal Sharma. Sarpanch Babu Ram, Sarpanch Sungal Ashwani Sharma, Sarpanch Anju Sharma, Panch Deepanjali Sharma, Panch Radhu, Naib Sarpanch Amit Sharma, Panch Kishori lal, Ex Sarpanch Devraj, Sarpanch Dok Jagir Prabhu Dayal, Ram Saran Head Kabir Samaj and Naib Sarpanch Kaink Jagir Rajni Devi were among those who joined the BJP party.
Rajwal Sarpanch Om Parkash and Rajwal Ex-Sarpanch Bhushan Bral organized the functions.
District President Manmohan Singh along with Mandal Presidents Soba Ram, Vikram Singh, Chairman MC Jourian Madan Lal, Vice Chairman Sham Lal and others were also present on the occasion.
