Samba, Oct 31:A meeting of the District Development and Monitoring Committee, Samba was held today under the chairmanship of Member Parliament (Lok Sabha), Jugal Kishore Sharma.
The meeting was attended by Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash, MLA Samba Dr Devinder Kumar Manyal, MLC Master Noor Hussain, DDC Sheetal Nanda, District Level Officers and nominated members of DDCMC.The committee reviewed the progress achieved across various schemes such as MGNREGA, PMGSY, PMAY, SBM, PMKSY, UJJWALA and BADP.
The MP directed officials to strictly adhere to timelines fixed for execution of works. He also directed ADDC, Vivek Sharma and nominated members of DDCMC to randomly check works completed by Rural Development Department across the district. He also sought details about progress achieved with respect to Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Yojana.
The Lead Bank Manager informed that Samba is leading other districts in disbursal of loans under Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana. The MP directed Horticulture Department to focus on marketing facilities for farmers so that better linkages could be developed between the producer and Mandis. He informed that PM Krishi Sinchai Yojana and PM Development Plan will provide better opportunities for the farmers. He also directed representatives of oil companies to include left out beneficiaries under ‘Ujjwala Plus’ scheme in consultation with the district administration.
The I&C Minister directed RDD to submit detailed reports on physical works completed in the district and whether their respective online data is uploaded on the portal.He also directed RDD to clear liabilities of JK Cement so that more cement could be supplied to the department. He emphasized for prompt submission for work estimates and necessary follow up by the concerned departments for avoiding procedural delays.
MLA Samba asked officials to display list of required documents for availing any service so that applicant need not run from pillar to post. He also called for increasing the allocation under BADP as present funding doesn’t suffice for development of border areas of the district.
The Chairman directed officials to submit draft proposal for BADP in addition to present funds disbursed so that the matter could be taken up with the Central Govt.The DC asked departments to take up works under SDRF guidelines within the specified timeline.
The meeting also discussed action taken under last DDCMC meeting.It was also decided that the Committee will tour the district and inspect various ongoing and completed works at the ground level.
