NEW DELHI, Aug 9: Jugal Kishore, Member of Parliament today raised voice in Lok Sabha during the question hour and urged for implementation of water supply scheme for the urban and rural areas of Jammu division of the State.
Jugal said that the people of Jammu division face many problems due to shortage of water, adding that the DPR was framed to implement the water supply scheme for urban and rural areas of Jammu by lifting water from river Chenab and distributed in required areas is lying pending with the Central Government for approval.
Jugal urged for early redressal of the issue so that Jammuites are not left in the lurch.
Minister of State for Rural Development, Ram Gopal Yadav appreciated the MP for raising genuine demand of his area and assured to take up the issue on priority and implement the scheme at an earliest.
