Jugal demands flyover for Satwari, Kunjwani Chowk

JAMMU, Feb 13: Jugal Kishore Sharma, Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha, Jammu-Poonch demanded construction of flyover bridges at two main prime locations Kunjwani Chowk and Satwari Chowk at Jammu.
Jugal Kishore Sharma, while raising the issue in Lok Sabha today said that many big projects in Jammu like AIIMS, IIIT, IIIM and upgradation of Jammu Airport are in progress. The matter of concern is that the number of vehicles in Jammu city is increasing day by day due to which two main locations on way to AIIMS and Airport Kunjwani Chowk and Satwari Chowk are observing heavy traffic congestion mostly during day times. He said that many number of vehicles pass through these crossings and people have to wait for several minutes. He said that there is dire need to construct flyover bridges at both these chowks to get rid of these traffic congestions.
Member of Parliament urged Minister for Road Transport & Highways to direct National Highway Authority of India to construct flyover bridges on both of these prime locations Kunjwani Chowk and Satwari Chowk at the earnest so that people may not have to suffer any more.
