Jugal calls on Nitin Gadkari

JAMMU, Aug 27: Lok Sabha MP from Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary Constituency, Jugal Kishore Sharma, called on Union Minister of Road Transport & Highways, Nitin Gadkari at New Delhi and discussed with him the issue of various roads to be constructed and upgraded under Central Road Fund (CRF) in different areas of his constituency.
Jugal told the minister that Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary Constituency is spared over a very vast area and there are such places which still do not have proper and reliable road connectivity besides other places which need immediate construction of bridges or upgradation of existing roads.
He said that there has been long pending demands for the up gradation of Samba to Sumb road and double laning of its total stretch of 14 kilometers; upgradation of Devak Hathal road which is 24 kilometers long and construction of Gojri Bridge, also called Tiger Bridge in Sunderbani- Nowshera.
The MP further urged upon the Minister for early start of work for four laning of Jammu-Akhnoor Road. He said that the DPR for the same should be prepared soon so that work is taken up at the earliest.
The Minister assured Jugal that whatever has been put before him will be considered on priority.
