JAMMU, Apr 4: Congress candidate from Jammu-Reasi Parliamentary seat Raman Bhalla and his spouse Indra Bhalla, who is also covering candidate of the party, owned assets running into crores while BJP nominee Jugal Kishore Sharma, who is seeking third term from the seat, is also a crorepati.

According to an affidavit filed by Raman Bhalla before the Returning Officer, he stated that he has Rs 3.9 crore worth self acquired assets and Rs 50 lakh worth inherited assets. Indra Bhalla has inherited Rs 3.61 crore worth assets and has Rs 68.03 lakh worth moveable assets.
Bhalla’s two children have Rs 11.97 lakh and Rs 16.56 lakh worth moveable assets.
Bhalla has 110 grams gold valued at Rs 7 lakh while his wife has 390 grams gold with a value of Rs 24 lakh and 550 grams silver. His daughter Kritti Bhalla has 180 grams gold valuing Rs 11 lakh.
However, Bhalla has also taken Rs 10.19 lakh worth educational loan from Gandhi Nagar branch of Jammu and Kashmir Bank while Indra Bhalla has obtained Rs 25.16 lakh worth car loan. Total liabilities of Bhalla are to the tune of Rs 47.27 lakh and his wife worth Rs 34.53 lakh.
The Congress leader, who is also a former Minister, has shown his annual income for the year 2022-23 as Rs 12.05 lakh.
In her own affidavit filed as covering candidate for her husband, Indra Bhalla has shown the same assets on her name. In her Income Tax return, Indra Bhalla has shown her annual income for the year 2022-23 as Rs 8.7 lakh.
Indra Bhalla owned Safari Model 2024 valued at Rs 30 lakh and a Verna car Model 2021 costing Rs 9 lakh.
BJP candidate Jugal Kishore Sharma, who won Jammu-Reasi Parliamentary constituency for two consecutive terms of 2014 and 2019, has Rs 1.20 crore worth moveable assets while his wife Usha Sharma has Rs 42.95 lakh worth moveable assets.
Jugal has Rs 3.1 crore worth self-acquired assets and Rs 1.05 crore worth inherited assets. His wife has Rs 1.47 crore worth self-acquired assets.
Jugal has shown annual income for 2022-23 in the Income Tax return as Rs 17.35 lakh while his wife has shown Rs 17.04 lakh worth income for the same year.
Jugal owns a TATA tipper valued at Rs 22.78 lakh and one WDV costing Rs 12 lakh. He has 20 tolas jewellery costing Rs 12 lakh while his wife has 50 tolas jewellery valued at Rs 30 lakh.
Ekam Sanatan Bharat Dal candidate Ankur Sharma has shown Rs 52.34 lakh worth income for the year 2023-24.
He owns Mercedes Benz 2023 Model worth Rs 76 lakh, a Toyota Fortuner valued at Rs 45 lakh and Honda City costing Rs 16.50 lakh.
Ankur has only five tolas gold worth Rs 3 lakh while his wife has 40 tolas gold to the tune of Rs 24 lakh. He has self-acquired immovable property worth Rs 51.15 lakh (36 Marlas of land) and Rs 5.75 lakh (four Marlas of land). He has home loan worth Rs 40 lakh and car loans including Rs 40 lakh, Rs 23 lakh and Rs 10 lakh.
