JAMMU, Sept 29: BJP State president Jugal Kishore Sharma, while charging the Congress of making fool of the people of Jammu, has asked the Party to explain its stand on Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s oft-repeated statements about accession and merger. He was reacting to Congress senior leader & Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Sham Lal Sharma’s statement that Congress is in favour of full integration of Jammu and Kashmir with the rest of the country.
Jugal Kishore Sharma said if Congress does not agree with Chief Minister’s views, it should immediately withdraw from the coalition or bring No-Confidence Motion against the Chief Minister in the Legislative Assembly session beginning on September 30 at Srinagar.
The BJP State president said that the Congress Ministers are attending all the Government functions and meetings with the Chief Minister and are party to every decision of the Coalition Government. He said that Sham Lal Sharma and other Congress Ministers are misleading the people of Jammu region as elections are coming near. The people can not be befooled any more as they are well aware of the fact that the Congress has always been power hungry and it has in the past even joined hands with the votaries of self-rule and now is enjoying power with the votaries of autonomy. Its dual face has been exposed and the people are going to teach it a lesson in near future, he added.
He said that the Congress should come out of coalition if it is really not in line with the statements of the Chief Minister on accession and merger.
