JAMMU, Oct 16: BJP State president & MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, along with Ex-MLA and BJP leader Ashwani Sharma, chaired Shahidi Divas programme organised in memory of the martyrs in Alley village of Bishnah Assembly Constituency today.
The BJP president, while recalling the supreme sacrifices of the martyrs after the partition of the country, said that right from first Navratra day in 1947 thousands of brave sons of mother India have laid down their lives while defending the borders and the people from across the border attacks. “Soon after we got freedom and India became an independent nation, we had to face Pak raiders attack but our jawans did not allow them to succeed in their nefarious designs”, he added.
“Many soldiers laid down their lives in 1947 and since then thousands of soldiers have made supreme sacrifices as a result of which we are living in fearless atmosphere” Jugal said and added that we sleep at night in our homes because our soldier are on duty on borders.
Jugal also announced Rs five lakh from MPLAD for the development works in the village and also felicitated the meritorious young students besides performing Kanjan Pujan of 51 girls.
Ashwani Sharma said that the entire belt of Bishnah Constituency has the population of such families who have lost their sons in the fights against Pakistan and these families feel proud of the sacrifices made by their sons for their motherland.
BJP Mandal Presidents-Ganesh Dutt, Bishan Choudhary, and Ramesh Saini and Puran Chand, Ram Lal and others were also present on the occasion.
