Jammu, Apr 25: The University of Jammu successfully conducted the Jammu University Entrance Test (JUET-2026) for admission to various Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes offered across its Main Campus, Offsite Campuses, and affiliated colleges.
The entrance test was held at multiple centres across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, including Jammu, Srinagar, Kathua, Udhampur, Rajouri, Poonch, Bhaderwah, and Kishtwar, ensuring accessibility for candidates from diverse regions.
The examination witnessed a satisfactory response, with a total of 3,861 candidates registered, out of which 3,148 candidates appeared. At the Undergraduate level, 987 out of 1,301 candidates appeared, while at the Postgraduate level, 2,161 out of 2,560 candidates took the examination. The overall absentee count stood at 713 candidates.
The test was conducted in a smooth, fair, and transparent manner across all centres by the Office of Dean Academic Affairs under overall supervision of Prof J. P. Singh Joorel, Dean Academic Affairs and in coordination with the Controller of Examinations, Sanjeev Mahajan.
Meticulous planning and efficient coordination ensured that candidates faced no inconvenience during the process.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Umesh Rai, visited various examination centres along with the Special Flying Squad, which included Dean Research Studies Prof. Neelu Rohmetra, Dean Planning and Development,
Prof. Sangeeta Gupta, Dean Academic Affairs Prof. J.P. Singh Joorel, and many other senior Officers of the University. The team closely monitored the conduct of the examination and reviewed the arrangements on the ground.
