AHMEDABAD, May 3: A local judge, hearing the protest petition filed by Zakia Jafri, widow of slain Congress MP Ehsan Jafri, against the Supreme Court-appointed SIT’s closure report on 2002 Gujarat riots case, has been transferred as Additional Senior Civil Judge and Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate at Anand.
Metropolitan Magistrate B J Ganatra figured in the list of the transfers ordered by the Gujarat High Court registrar last evening, which includes 195 senior civil judges and 87 civil judges in 21 districts.
The transfers are being termed as a routine one by the High Court registrar.
The list also includes ACJM of the CBI court in Ahmedabad A Y Dave hearing Tulsi Prajapati encounter case, who will be replaced by ACJM Bhuj B G Joshi.
