Jubilant Palli residents term PM’s visit a pride, historic moment for them

SAMBA, Apr 22: The inhabitants of Palli and surrounding villages are in an upbeat mood and are anxiously waiting for the upcoming visit of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi to the village on April 24 to announce the slew of projects for J&K on the occasion of Rashtriya Panchayati Raj Diwas.
The people of the Palli Panchayat in Samba district consider it a historical and pride moment as they would not have expected even the visit of Chief Minister to the village. They are all jubilant and happy as with PM’s visit the village has become a focus of attention of media not only at national but at international level.
The preparations for PM’s visit are being given final touch in the village while entire road is being blacktopped. The people of the Palli said that their village has been decorated on the same pattern as Ayodhya was done when Lord Rama returned there after 14 years of exile. They said the development done in the area during last 20 days has not been done during last 50 years.
The inhabitants of the area said that their Panchayat has turned into a model Panchayat in the country and it attached more importance with the visit of PM. They expressed the hope that all Panchayats of the country would be developed on the pattern of Palli and Prime Minister, Narendra Modi should spare some time to visit every Panchayat to ensure Sabka Saath – Sabka Vikas a slogan given by him for the upliftment of the people and development of the country especially the underdeveloped areas.
The people are anxiously waiting to give a red carpet welcome to their leader and compliment him for his concern for the welfare and development of the rural India and initiative taken by him to better their economy by launching slews of schemes and projects during last eight years of BJP rule at the Centre.
The joy of Nitesh Kumar Sharma, a youth of Palli village knew no bounds as he was all happy over the visit of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi who is among the towering leaders of the world to his village on the occasion of Rashtriya Panchayati Raj Diwas.
“We are really fortunate enough that the PM among lakhs of Panchayats in the country choose Palli to address the PRIs across the country virtually by holding a function in our village. “This is really a proud moment for all of us and even for the people of J&K. The people really feel elated and they are in upbeat mood as we have never expected that Prime Minister, Narendra Modi who is also one of the greatest leader’s at international level to visit Palli”, he added.
Sharma said the people of the village welcome the development and initiative of PM in this regard which is really a praiseworthy step. His visit will boost the development in entire J&K and it will be a beginning of a new era for the UT, he added.
Sharma said that Palli was already on the path of the development initiated by the local Sarpanch of the area and it was with his efforts that this Panchayat came under focus and PM selected it for the visit. He said but with Narendra Modi’s visit the development not only in Palli but entire J&K will get further boost and Palli will be known world -wide.
Sunil Shastri, another local of the area said there is really jubilation in the area and the preparations were going on for last two months. He said it is a matter of honour for the villagers that among lakhs of Panchayats Modi’s choose Palli to visit. He said we had never thought even CM to visit the area and so it is really a great honour for us that world’s towering leader is visiting the village”, he added.
He wanted PM to visit every village by sparing some time to boost the economy of villagers. He said Palli looks like Ayodhya this time as it was decorated and illuminated during the return of Lord Rama after 14 years of exile.
The Prime Minister will be accompanied by Union Ministers, Giriraj Kishore and Dr Jitendra Singh as both Ministries are jointly organising the programme of Panchayati Raj Diwas in Palli.
Shambu Nath Khajuria another resident of the area who was also pleased over Modi’s visit to the village to hold rally there said that preparations are being given final touch by authorities and for last 20 days lot of development took place in this small village. The people who visit this village can see how development was done here under Modi’s rule. “We are waiting eagerly to PM’s visit as it will give a new direction to (Vikas) development all over the UT”, he added.
