JU workshop on ‘Recent Trends in Research Methodology’ concludes

JAMMU, Nov 29: A five-day workshop on the theme “Recent Trends in Research Methodology” organized by the Department of English, University of Jammu for the Research Scholars, concluded today.
The valedictory function was presided over by Professor Rita Saldhana, former Senior Professor of the department. She stressed on the need of such programmes to keep up with the national and international standards.
Professor Monika Sethi, Head, Department of English, JU, informed that eminent academicians such as Prof Aneel Raina from University of Punjab, Prof Hitesh D Raviya from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Prof Raj Kumar from University of Delhi, Prof Rita Saldhana from University of Jammu and Prof Vivek Sachdeva from GGSIP University, Delhi conducted various sessions of the workshop during the span of five days.
Scholars and students of the department participated enthusiastically in the programme. The formal vote of thanks was proposed by Professor Satnam Kour Raina, Principal IMFA. Among those who graced the occasion, included Professor Neelam Saraf, Professor Parmeshwari and Professor Parminder Kour. Also present on the occasion were Professor Sucheta Pathania, Dr Garima Gupta, Dr Ravinder Singh, Dr Sadaf Shah, Pradeep Kumar, Dr Pallavi Gupta and Dr Divya Sharma.
The workshop was inaugurated on November 25 by Professor Keshav Sharma, Dean Academic Affairs, JU, who had appreciated the teaching learning environment of the department calling it one of the best departments of the University. Professor Shoaib Inayat Malik, Head, Department of Urdu and Dean Faculty of Arts had also addressed the audience and stressed upon the relevance and need for such endeavors.
