JAMMU, Oct 25: The revival of Post-Graduate Diploma in Marketing and Sales was endorsed by Jammu University Syndicate, which met today under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor, Prof Mohan Paul Singh Ishar.
The Syndicate also endorsed the statues governing the Choice Based Credit System and modifications in the eligibility/admission criteria to the Post-Graduate courses run through the distance mode besides taking decisions on other academic and administrative issues.
This was 105th meeting of Jammu University Syndicate, which was attended by BB Vyas, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister/ Admn Secretary to the Government, Finance Department, Financial Advisor Universities.
During the meeting, total 38 Agenda items were presented by Prof M K Dhar, Registrar, University of Jammu, for discussion and approval.
Earlier, Prof Ishar informed the Syndicate about various activities and initiatives taken by the University on the matters of importance especially implementation of semester system at UG level and Choice Based credit system at PG level.
The Syndicate meeting was attended by Prof R D Sharma, Department of Commerce, Prof Desh Bandhu Gupta, Director CDC, Prof Jigar Mohd, Dean Social Sciences, Prof Kuldeep Sharma, Dean Life Sciences, Prof Geeta Sumble, Head, Department of Botany, Prof Kiran Bakshi, Principal, Govt College for Women, Gandhi Nagar and Prof Sameeru Sharma, Principal, Govt College of Engg & Tech.
J K Sharma, Special Secretary to Vice-Chancellor and P P Sharma, Assistant Registrar, Co-ordination were also present in the meeting.
