DODA, June 9: Three persons including Post Graduate (PG) student of University of Jammu (JU) were held along with 500 grams of heroine here.
As per police sources, police party deployed at Pul Doda during routine checking intercepted a Scorpio bearing registration number JK02S-6000 which was on its way from Thathri towards Jammu.
During checking, police recovered 500 grams of heroine and arrested three persons, who have been identified as driver Vishwapartap Singh, son of Dilbagh Singh, PG student of Jammu University Hashim Din, son of Roshan Din and Sharief, son of Shafi Mohammad, all residents of district Kathua.
A case under FIR number 106/14 under Section 8/21 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at police station Doda and investigation started.
Police team from Doda police station made the arrest under the supervision of SSP Doda Mohammad Sharief Chouhan.
