JU organizes motivational lecture by IRS Suchiter Sharma for UPSC aspirants

JAMMU, Oct 11: Placement Cell, University of Jammu, in collaboration with the Department of Students Welfare, JU, organized a Motivational Lecture cum Interaction programme on the topic ‘Decoding Success for Civil Services’ for the students and scholars of the university.
Suchiter Sharma (IRS), son of the soil who has secured All India Rank 146 in UPSC-2020, was the Resource Person. He conducted an interesting, engrossing and enlightening session which was attended by the aspirants of UPSC and other competitions.
Terming consistency, persistence and perseverance the key elements, he narrated the story of his hard work and attributed his success to the efforts of his parents, teachers and friends. He also advised the listeners to not follow his story, rather create their own stories. The lecture was followed by an interaction session in which he intelligently answered the queries of the aspirants.
Prof Anju Bhasin, who was chief guest on the occasion, lauded the meaningful effort of Dean Placement and Dean Students Welfare in envisaging this highly relevant event for the benefit of the students who are always kept at the pivotal position by the University.
Prof Vinay Chauhan, Dean Students Placement, urged the students to take maximum benefit from this motivational lecture as such enlightenments go a long way in shaping one’s mindset.
The event was organized under the guidance of Prof Prakash Antahal (Dean Students Welfare), Prof Vinay Chauhan, Prof Vishav Raksha (Chairperson, Campus Cultural Committee), Prof Sanjana Kaul (Co-Chairperson, Campus Cultural Committee) and Dr Anil Gupta (Associate Dean SW).
