Jammu, Dec 18: Vice Chancellor (VC) of University of Jammu (JU), Prof. Manoj K. Dhar here today launched the Web Portal for online applications for State Eligibility Test (SET) for the post of Assistant Professor in UTs of J&K and Ladakh (JKSET/LASET 2021-22).
The portal will start functioning from December 20 and the candidates interested can apply for the JKSET/LASET (2021-22) in online mode.
The last date to apply for SET is January 20, 2022.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Dhar informed that JU has been selected as the Nodal Agency for conducting the SET for post of Assistant Professor by the Higher Education Department of UT of J&K and has been accredited by the UGC to jointly conduct SET in 38 subjects for the UTs of J&K and Ladakh.
Prof. Pankaj K. Srivastava, Member Secretary of SET informed that the JKSET/LASET 2021-22 shall be held on May 15, 2022 and there will be two papers in SET this year out of which the first paper is general in nature and will be compulsory for all the candidates while the second paper will be discipline specific.
Both the papers will be objective type. He further told that Public Administration has been added as a new subject from this time.
The site has been developed and designed by Ravi Kant, Sr. Programmer of the Examination Wing, University of Jammu and can be accessed from the University of Jammu website www.jammuuniversity.ac.in.
Among others Prof. Arvind Jasrotia, Registrar, JU; Anik Gupta, Director, IT and Dr. Vinay Thusoo, Incharge, Media were also present on the occasion.
