JAMMU, Mar 3: In a shocking development, an incident of preparing forged marks card by an employee of Jammu University’s Examination wing, has come to light even as the JU authorities immediately constituted an inquiry committee to look into the matter and also ordered suspension of the accused Class IV employee.
Till outcome of the inquiry, the accused employee, identified as Rinku Sharma, has been put under suspension and attached to Registry with immediate effect while the inquiry committee will submit its report within a week..
The incident came into light when a female student approached the University for submitting B A Part III examination form as private candidate. The signature on her marks card raised some doubt in the mind of concern official, who brought the matter into higher authorities.
During the questioning by JU authorities, the female candidate disclosed the name of accused employee, who had provided her the forged marks cards.
According to the official sources, involvement of more persons, including some officials of Examination wing, in the racket, can not be ruled out.
