JU celebrates A+ Grade

JAMMU, Nov 7: To celebrate A + Grade to the institution by NAAC, Jammu University today organized a function, which was attended by the faculty members, students, scholars, non teaching staff and non- gazetted staff.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof R D Sharma said that this success was due to the unstinted hardwork and commitment shown by all. “We cannot now rest on our laurels as the journey towards excellence has only begun,” he further said and added that maintenance of this grade has further increased the responsibility of the University fraternity and only their good character, conduct and commitment could take them forward.
Earlier, in her opening remarks, Dr Meenakshi Kilam, Director, Directorate of Internal Quality Assurance, attributed the success to personal and regular monitoring of NAAC Assessment process, by the Vice Chancellor.
Prof Keshav Sharma, Registrar JU, highlighted the contribution made by all the internal stakeholders, which led to securing A+ grade.
Prof Jigar Mohammad, Dean Research Studies; Dr Kuldeep Singh Charak, president, JU Teachers’ Association; Vivek Slathia, president of Officers Welfare Association; Pawan Singh , president , Non- teaching Employees Union and Suraj Prakash, vice -president, Non- Gazetted Employees Union, also spoke on the occasion.
