JTC’s plea to CM

JAMMU, Apr 26: Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front in a joint meeting today discussed various problems of Jagti camp inmates.
The meeting, which was chaired by Shadi Lal Pandita said that no respite has been provided to camp people from 18 hour long power cuts and during last two years 47 people died due to heat stroke in the camp.
The meeting in an appeal to Chief Minister urged him that in view of approaching Summer it will not be possible for the inmates to pass the days with 18 hour power cut so the directives be issued to concerned departments not to enforce more than eight hour power curtailment in the camp as 18 hour power curtailment in a day tantamount to human rights violation.
