JAMMU, Apr 27: Outrightly rejecting that Kashmiri Pandits were not interested in return to Valley their native place, Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front said that Pandits are aborigines of Valley and were craving to return to their motherland with which the community has a deep rooted link for over 5000 years.
The two organizations in a joint meeting here today held under the leadership of Shadi Lal Pandita said that the statement made by PDP president Ms Mehbooba Mufti in this regard was totally baseless and misleading.
He also criticized PDP chief for opposing the separate township for the community in Kashmir Valley and said that rehabilitation of Pandits was not possible without their settlement at a concentrated place within Kashmir. He said that this way the PDP leader was speaking the language of separatists who are responsible for ruining Kashmir and plight of the people of Valley including over seven lakh KPs leading an exiled life for over last 25 years.
Pandita said Ms Mufti should go into ground reality instead of playing to the gallery. Rattan Lal Bhat, Rajinder Dhar, Sunil Raina, Sanjay Pandita, P L Pandita, Hari Krishan and others were present in the meeting.
