JAMMU, Oct 13: The Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC), Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) continued their protest dharna for the 12th day today. The Committee also staged a strong protest today and held a rally under the presidentship of Shadi Lal Pandita, convenor of PCC Migrant Cell J&K in support of their demands including enhancement of monthly cash relief of relief holders from Rs 13,000 to Rs 25,000 and Jobs for those families where there is no Government employee.
The members of the organization beating the thalies and shouting slogans in support of their demands wanted to know what is their fault, and why they are being suppressed, how long will it last and how more they will lead the exiled life. The rally went from Block No 30 to Relief Zone Jagti where Shadi Lal Pandita submitted a memorandum asking the concerned officers to that the demands be submitted to the State and Central Government immediately.
Addressing the members Pandita said that today is the 12th day of the agitation which started on October 2 and will continue till Government meets the demands. The JTC /SKF president, said that this is a fight for Justice and every party should Join this fight. Pandita said that the attitude of the Government is such that they are not ready to redress the problems of the exiled Pandits. The Government should solve the demands of Jagti Tenement Committee, Soan Kashmir Front as early as possible, he added.
